Privacy

The short version: there are no ads here and nothing that follows you around the web. If you click Accept in the cookie bar, Google Analytics counts which pages are read; if you click Decline, nothing is sent to Google. We also count clicks on our Amazon links (which page and which button, nothing about you) so we know which books people want. The only personal information we ask for is your email address, and only if you choose to give it to us.

This site and the book Tantra Is Not What You Think are an independent, self-published project. We’ve tried to keep this page as plain and honest as the book itself.

If you sign up for the free guide

When you enter your email to get the free 7-day guide, we collect that email address so we can send you the guide and, now and then, a related note or new piece of writing. We store and send those emails through a third-party email service (MailerLite, a reputable provider used by millions of small publishers). We never sell your email or share it for advertising. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe, and when you unsubscribe we remove you from the list.

If you buy the book

The book is sold on Amazon, not on this site. When you click “Buy on Amazon,” your purchase and payment are handled entirely by Amazon, under Amazon’s own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details, your email, or any purchase information — this site has no visibility into who buys the book or when.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics only if you click Accept. It then sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_CDZVK8K9R9, which hold a random ID and last at most 14 months. Google receives the page you view (without anything after a “?”), your browser and device type, an approximate location and the time, and may process this in the United States. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. The legal basis is your consent, and taking it back is as easy as giving it: use Cookie settings here or at the bottom of every page, and the cookies are deleted. Your choice is kept in your browser for 180 days. If our email sign-up uses a small essential cookie to make the form work, that is the only other cookie.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• tell you what data we hold about you (it will only ever be your email and any purchase record);
• correct it;
• delete it, or unsubscribe you from everything.

Just email us (see Contact) and we’ll sort it out. If you’re in the EU/UK, these are your rights under the GDPR; you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

This site is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
